As the economy reemerges the challenges that leaders have to restore and or restart their businesses are significant and may be the most difficult of their career. True Leaders, Servant Leaders will have the ability to create the need to change and move the team to transition to a different place. Status Quo will be the “Kiss of Death” for small businesses that are struggling to survive. A True Leader will communicate clearly and concisely on why the business needs to change and then be the Change Agent for the team. All teams want a leader to provide direction but it is the essence of the leader that listens to the team, empowers the team and understands when mistakes are made. Mistakes are learning opportunities and change will only happen when the team feels safe from retribution of a change not working the first time. The real mistake is to not try different methods to change how Material, Data and Services flow. A true leader fosters Truth, Integrity, Passion, Respect and True Caring for the Team. A true leader does not talk about these values, they exhibit them with their actions.
