Businesses today are all about profit. That’s the point of business. Which isn’t a bad thing. That profit allows companies to grow and prosper. It allows team members to feed and care for their families. It allows team members to do things with their families.
Though where is the line drawn? How do companies find a balance for team members to have time for their families? Some companies say they will make families a priority but in reality, it is all for show. Some companies try but cannot find the connection and how to make that a reality. Some companies do prioritize that.
I have worked for both types of companies. There is a balance to be had. It can be done if it is a priority of the employer. What can be done to fix this is a simple but complex problem. Run more efficient. If the company can run efficient through the week it is more likely they won’t have to work weekends.
We at GKW Business Solutions have many values we consider, although family comes first. If you want to start putting the people that support your organization first. Then your priority should be supporting those people.
