As the economy reopens the need to be safe and take the proper precautions become paramount. We all know what the rules are but as we spend more time in the public engaging with employees and clients it is likely to create a degree of nervousness and fear.
I am in the process of reinventing a business that I own and pushing to grow the client base. The methods of networking has adapted to virtual discussions but the need to be face to face with clients will be eminent. I am a bit nervous about this after being secluded at home for 7 weeks. So again, what have I learned. I believe a mask is part of business casual attire now. 6 ft of distance and washing of hands. Does this keep us safe…not sure but it seems reasonable and I need to get comfortable with it. The economy needs to reopen and my business needs to be a part of that.

Those of you that know me know data always tells the truth. Data can take all the speculation out of a set of circumstances and allows us to make rational decisions.

So…we each have decisions to make about ourselves and our family. A couple of quotes that are appropriate:
“Only Thing We Have to Fear Is Fear Itself”: FDR’s First Inaugural Address
“The world breaks everyone or nearly everyone, of their childish illusions, assumptions and wishes, often painfully and afterwards due to the personal growth in practical experience, insight and the resulting wisdom many are strong at the broken places just like mended broken bones often are, and some people even have the great insight to be grateful for the purifying fire.” Ernest Hemingway
