As I get older Memorial Day becomes more important to me. To remember and honor my parents, other relatives that are with their maker, those that have served in the military are worthy of being honored and thanked. We enjoy many freedoms because of those that sacrificed for those freedoms. I now have a grandson and I want him to remember those that went before him, honor and remember and appreciate what they did to afford us the life we often take from granted. Reach out this weekend and thank a veteran, they need it more than we may realize it.
